What to do on a Thursday evening in early August? Put the top down on the Z4 and head to the hills. When the hills take you to the quaint hamlet of Hamilton, NY you find a spot to park near the Colgate Inn and follow the music. Tunes on the village green was an unexpected pleasure.
A drink that shares the same name as my daughter’s puppy
From our bistro table outside we could hear the music on the village green while enjoying a cocktail and local cheese plate. Followed by the evening special of flank steak, side of corn and mango salsa accompanied with a mini iron skillet of whipped potatoes, toped with homemade mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes. Don’t let me forget the local green beans cooked to perfection. Top it off with a very attentive server who greeted us with a smile.
Isn’t Hamilton so perfectly picturesque?
