A Magical Night for Wishes

I Sprinkle Happy, yes I do! On Saturday night everyone who attended the Wish Ball for Make-A-Wish Central New York got a taste of the magic.

So many generous donors. And so many amazing vendors! We were so fortunate to have the experienced and patient folks from Ralston Supply Center. Tom you worked wonders with all that was needed to pull off this very successful event!

And my dear friend Patrick – 550 plated dinners in under 30 minutes! How do you do it! As you will see from the images our food was over the top fabulous!

I’ve had the good fortune of having Patrick and his staff cater many events for our family and business. I can’t begin to find the words to tell you what a pleasure it has always been to do business with him. Whether it’s a simple cocktail party or a more challenging rehearsal dinner or major event, Patrick and his staff walk in calmly and take care of every detail. LOVE THEM! I’m already planning my next family event just so we can spoil ourselves with their delectable food.

The boxes? The boxes! Sandie from Cats in the Attic Cards. Currently only viewable via Facebook.

Give her a break! She just opened her doors and graciously donated 700 boxes for our event. WOW! But then that’s what Sandie is. WOW! She’s constantly finding ways to help people. She even has plans to take her sweet dog Maisie to visit folks in nursing homes and long term care facilities. She is loved by all that know her. And especially by her bff’s Sparkles and Mitzy!

Speaking of Sparkles. Well we all know I’m talking about Amanda Potter. She and her husband Howard own A & P Master Images.

When I asked Amanda how I could cut photo stars to use for the napkins she said-you can’t. I’ll take care of them. And I’ll take care of the sparkly table numbers for the centerpieces too. More very generous folks who I proud to call my dear friends.

There are certainly more folks who helped make the evening so great. I can’t list them all but I can tell you about a few more.

The Gorea’s. They own their own businesses and one is Seneca Wine and Liquor, her husband Greg’s shop.

Just ask them a question about wine for our event and they step forward with all the wine we needed for our very successful wine pull. They weren’t the only ones from their family to offer. Their son Anthony just opened his own liquor store in Herkimer and without blinking he donated to our event too. Valley Wine and Liquor.

He knows the Power of A Wish. His mom Dena is a wish granter. And she’s amazing! Her company D & D Motor Sports ALSO helped make this event possible!

And I would be totally lost without the assistance of my most generous husband and sons. When I told my husband I was on the decorating committee he didn’t bat an eye even though he knew what it meant. Tallman’s Tire and Auto Repair would be helping make everything picture perfect.

Helping make wishes come true is nothing new for the tire business. My guys never say no to anything I need for our wish kids.

Make-A-Wish has a special impact on people. The moment they hear you want to do something to help our wish kids, people say “what can I do to help?” Wishes. Magical for sure. They bring the best out in everyone.

Don’t mind the purple hue in many of the images. The lighting crew outdid themselves as well but it created some challenges for photographing with my phone.

A fantastic evening that took months to plan. So happy for the wish kids who will benefit from this event. Wishes make miracles happen!
